Deputation Notes
September
2003
“For where two or three are gathered together in my
name,
there am I in the midst of them”
Matthew 18:20
Dear Family and Friends,
This past month of September has been much busier
than last month. We were able to have
meetings in three churches here in the Greenville area. Each of these churches were small in number,
but that just made us feel more at home since we are both originally from small
churches. It is such a blessing to know
that even though we may not really know each person, we can still have
fellowship as we worship our Lord and Savior together. Although we did not have to travel very far
this month, we are thankful for the Lord’s protection and provision. We also thank you who have been praying for
us. It is very evident to us that many of you pray on our behalf.
The next couple months will not be as busy with deputation meetings, but we will be very busy getting ready for this next year of “full-time” deputation. The process of sorting out our belongings has begun - packing up those things we need to store in order to take with us to Kenya and getting rid of the rest. We are thankful for the advice and guidance we have received. Even though it is very time consuming, this is fun to do, especially with 18 month old twin boys. The boys are growing so quickly. Walking, running, climbing and trying to talk – all these combined keep our lives even more exciting. We are thankful for the boys the Lord has given us to raise, and we look forward to having another child arrive in mid December.
Prayer Requests:
1. Travel safety – our next few meetings are a little
further away.
2. John, as he continues to contact churches and line
up meetings.
3. Sophie, as the due date is not all that far away.
– Dec. 21
4. Wisdom to know what to pack for shipping and what
we don’t need.
5. Churches that will support us with their prayers.
