Bill: Although I grew up in a Christian
home, I was saved out of a sinful secular college lifestyle at the age of 24.
The Lord used a new pastor at my parents' home church to show me the
foolishness of my false profession of faith. I repented of my sin and received the Lord as my Savior. During my freshman year
at BJU, I dedicated my life to full-time Christian service. Through my local church and through
friendships with foreign students in college, the Lord helped me see the lack
of a Gospel witness around the world and developed a love in my heart for the
foreign ministry of the Word. My call
to missionary service has been confirmed through counsel from Godly,
respected men in the ministry. |

Sue: I was saved at the age of
seven during vacation Bible school.
The teacher showed me that I would not receive eternal life simply
because my family was saved, but that I must personally confess my sin and
acknowledge Christ as my Savior. Growing up in a Christian home, I was encouraged in my spiritual growth. When I was in fifth grade, the Lord used a missionary story taught by my pastor’s wife to help me see the spiritual needs around the world and how I might fulfill the Great Commission. My local church gave me many ministry opportunities, and I committed to full-time Christian service as a teenager. The Lord has been directing me to the mission field since that time. |
